Its been a pretty slow summer, so I'm fairly excited to bring news of a monumentally epic development that will shake the worlds of both blogging and podcasting to their very foundations!

OK - not really, but there is something afoot. A couple of months ago, a few of us likeminded music blogging types hooked up and decided to work on a project together. As we all indulge in some form of mixing/DJng we came up with the idea of doing a collaborative Podcast combined with a synchronised blog post - not startingly original I admit, but if it's so obvious, then why the hell hasnt anyone else done it already? ;) Anyway - thus, the legend of 'Blogariddims' was born.

Participating Blogs/Sites (so far):

Autonomic for the People
Bassnation (slight return)
Grevious Angel
Idle Thoughts

So here's the deal. Once you sign up, a podcast will be downloaded every fortnight into the music library of I-Tunes or whatever software you normally use. Each mix will be (approximately) 60 minutes long, and encoded at 192kbps. On the day of release each respective blogger will publish their post, and there'll be a link to the podcast on the blog involved, and a link to the blog entry (along with all the other important info) in the ID3 tags of the MP3. You can of course unsubscribe from the podcast whenever you want.

Sound good? Copy this link:

And follow the instructions here to sign up,

Myself and Slug have the honour of kicking this off, and, all going to plan, the first edition will hit your desktop next Monday 3rd of July. Ive already dropped a few hints as to what to expect, but you'll just have to wait a few days to find out for sure. Other than that we're keeping the schedule under wraps - though there should be enough variety and talent in the names mentioned above to intrique!
